About The CDL Skills Test

Our CDL trainers will drill you on everything you need to know to pass your CDL Skills Test. Your driving test will include three parts:

Pre-trip Inspection Test - In this portion of the test, the proctor evaluates your knowledge of vehicle safety. They’ll watch you inspect the vehicle and expect you to explain what you’re looking for and why.

Basic Vehicle Control - In this part of the exam, you’ll be evaluated on your ability to control the vehicle in motion. They’ll test your ability to drive, reverse, turn, and park in a closed environment.

On-Road Test - In the final part of the test, you’ll be going out on the road. The examiner will be evaluating how well you understand the rules of the road for commercial vehicles and perform in real-life traffic conditions.
