These days, if you’re looking to acquire a Class B CDL in Texas, you’ll need to pass a road test. To that test, you’ll have to bring a Class B commercial vehicle.
Even prior to your test, you’ll need to get behind the wheel of a Class B truck to learn how to drive it properly, including backing, parallel parking, and other difficult maneuvers.
If you’re getting a Class B commercial license, CDL Truck Services has your back. We can provider you with a testing rental, and if you need behind-the-wheel training, you won’t find a more experienced team to help you learn.

Like with most things, practice makes perfect when it comes to driving a commercial truck. Whether you’re an experienced Class C driver or you’re getting your first CDL, you’ll need plenty of behind-the-wheel training to feel comfortable driving a Class B vehicle.
When you rent a Class B vehicle from CDL Truck Services, you’ll also get one-on-one training from an experienced driving instructor. They’ll run you through everything you need to know about your road test, then work with you to ensure you’re ready to pass it on the first try.

After getting your Commercial Learner’s Permit, you have to wait two weeks before taking your final road test at your local DMV. In that time, you should be practicing behind the wheel of a Class B truck.
Once you’re ready to take the exam, you’ll need to schedule a testing time. You’ll also need to have a Class B truck to drive for the test. Ideally, you’ve practiced in that same vehicle.
At CDL Truck Services, you’ll be able to use the same truck you’ve practiced in. This gives you an edge, and your familiarity with the vehicle and how it handles can make the difference between passing and failing.
