During your BTW training, you’ll be driving one of our Class A or Class B trucks.These trucks have been hand-selected for our students, and they provide superior visibility and easy maneuvering–perfect for someone learning how to drive a commercial truck.
When you take your road test, you’ll need to bring your own Class A or Class B vehicle. Every CDL Truck Services BTW training rental includes a truck you can test one–the same one you learned on.
Schedule Your RentalDuring your road test, you’ll have to demonstrate that you understand what to look for during your pre-trip inspection. Our CDL instructors will help you learn each thing to look for and how to demonstrate that knowledge.
After getting in the cab, you may be required to demonstrate how to initiate the air brakes. We’ll go over the process with you to ensure you understand the air brake system and can activate it perfectly.
We’ll help you learn the basics, including turns and plenty of backing practice. We’ll give you tips and tricks for common maneuvers, and our high-visibility commercial trucks make teaching this–and executing these maneuvers–simple
When you’re ready, our CDL instructors will take you out on the open road so you can get some practice driving in standard traffic conditions. After this, you’ll be prepared for each part of your road test.
